Well I'm at a standstill on the lincoln until my filler arrives. I figured I had a shot at finishing this in time for this months last man standing. The plan is something similar to a liberty walk build and i have a plan for the arches so the rest should be fairly stock but low with wide wheels.

So if all goes according to plan, tomorrow I'll be showing you how to build a wide arch body kit for much less than a dollar

So a slight delay to wide arches. I was thinking about it and realised it would be easier to fit the arches after the suspension and wheels. This way I can get the suspension and wheels fitted then build up the arches around them instead of fitting the suspension and wheels to the arches. Thats the plan anyway so hopefully it works out ok. The first pic is just to show the ridiculous number of ejector tags, nearly every part has them. You will also notice the suspension is still near stock height but that will change. I also fitted the brakes but mounted them at an angle as this will be a stance type build If anyone else has this kit I could do with a copy of the instructions for the engine as mine seem to be missing

Ok now the work week is done for 3 weeks back to the arches. As I said this should cost less than a dollar and is pretty simple. You will need 4 plastic dessert spoons that cover the entire wheelarch (I'm using different sizes for each end), and the chassis and wheels either mocked up or built. For this I will be doing the rear arches first, but the fronts are done the same way. I started by marking the wheelarch's all round as I want to maintain the body line so will be removing these from the body and fitting them to the arches. This will also give me matching arches on both sides. Next I made sure the spoon covers the wheels as it would be no use if it didn't fit. I've gone around the spoon in pen to help it show in the pics. Yup it clears the wheels Next I removed the handles from the spoons including the rib that is seen on the spoon edges. I'm going to be using the handles for the the sills so the gap at the bottom of the spoon isn't too big a deal more to follow once i carefully remove the arches from the body
