We had our local vintage club show today. The weather was great all day for once too. This year they decided to allow the local guys with interesting or modified newer vehicles to show off their cars too, after seeing how sucessful letting newer motorbikes in the bikes section for a few years has been. The car of the show for me was the mk4 golf with loads of work done to it, from the 10.5 inch wide bbs at each corner to the retrimmed interior to the airlift and completely tucked and smoothed bay, it was near flawless but after more than 3 years of work it should be and the guys was taken aback by how well it was received, he never got away from the car to see the show for people asking questions about it, but i guess i should show some pics of it and some other cars. There will be 280 car and bike pics added to my flickr albums later tonight to save space here and i'll add a link once they have loaded. I guess I better include some minis and their derivatives

Cool show, yes the golf is very nice, I'm surprised it's a four door !
But I do like the Escort RS2000 , the E type jag is beautiful too !

Cool cars. How does the tag not mess up the paint on the front of the E-type? If anything doesn't the paint fade around it?

I do think they look cool but, if you ever took that off the paint would be 2 shades darker under it. I have learned that the hard way a couple times..lol I guess you have to just keep one on or repaint. My dad had a series 2 that exact same color for some reason he called it baby s(*&t yellow. I would love to have one someday but I think I want a series one cause of the glass headlight covers.
