As an update, I have my "disaster Z-28" soaking in the "Purple". It has been in less than a day and after 4-5 coats of Tamiya color and a disasterous coat of Testors clear is starting to lift. The color on the large sections of the panels are starting to peel away. I hope another 24 hours will complete the stripping and I can wash and prepare the Z -28 body for 4-5 coats of Tamiya Italian Red ONLY... Do some fine sanding and call it "a rap".. As far as the Charger, it will receive 4-5 coats of Tamiya Champaign Gold ONLY with some finesse sanding and polish (which I know now is all Tamiya products need.,..) Wish me luck...I'll update later....

Tipped a few ales and laid down about 5 coats of Tamiya Champagne Gold lacquer. No primer/lightly scuffed panel surfaces. Laid down real nice, no runs, sags, pooling. Nice and dusty finish withminimal dirt /nibs. I will let it dry about 4-5 days, then wet-sand the finish out very, very lightly. If I achieve a glossy, smooth surface, I will end it their with a few wax products and go onto the next project.
