Patience young Grasshopper! Patience comes from within. Just stand with one foot on the ground and the place the other behind your head and stick your hands and arms straight out from your sides...hoo, hoo, hoo, Ok, I'm calming down now. Hoo, hoo, that was funny as all get out! Sorry Joe, I lost my head for a moment! We return you to your regularly scheduled program... LOLOL!!!

I painted the Dart on Friday with Tamiya TS-54 Light Metallic Blue. I misted some paint onto the chassis and painted the core support, rear panel molding, and the firewall. I detailed the alternator with some red paint. More to come...

Nice colour Mike and the subtle details on that engine are a nice touch.

Thank you aussiemodler! I have one other '69 Dart GTS and I built that one box stock many years ago. I have 2 '68 Darts and those have been built a little more recent than the other'69 Dart and I wanted those different from each other. Subtle details can make a big difference in changing one model for another.

Thank you Steve! I have begun picking away at the Dart GTS 340 today. I painted the seats and the sidepanels this morning. I started piecing the suspensions together. The rear suspension is in mockup as I still have to add plumbing for brakes and fuel and the exhaust system. And, I have started foiling the body. It'll require a lot of foiling! More to come...

Still picking away at the Dart GTS 340. I installed the firewall and the brake booster. I still have to finish foiling. I got the interior side panels and center console with shifter installed. More to come...

Thank you DeeCee and Deano! The interior is almost finished. I realized that there is a tachometer and the instructions show it being mounted on the steering column which is a good location for mounting. Every factory mounting for this particular car should be on the console just under the dash. This is where I'll mount the tach. I did a little detailing on the tach face. More to come...

Thank you Steve and Joe! I haven't worked on the Dart in a little bit. I am looking at the car and wondering if anything needs to be changed up or the be left alone. I do need to get the engine wired and finished and to complete foiling.

Thanks leon! I may have to remove the upper portion of the horn ring. I don't think it was completely round the steering wheel. thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon

All I would try to do is thin out the horn ring as the molding look as thick as the wheel

Thank you Deano and Steve! I need to clean up the horn ring since the uneven painting does make the ring look thicker.

It have been over a week since I have worked at all on the Dart GTS 340. Since I had to fire up the paintbooth to paint another project, I shot the hood with another coat of Tamiya TS-54 Light Metallic Blue. it came out nice and smooth! More to come...
