Looks great Michael, colors really work well on it, wheel choice is spot on too man. A fine example for sure, now onto the next one..

Thanks DeeCee and Joe! Unfortunately, the more I look at this truck, the more I am starting to hate the mismatched paint. I am going to remove the bed and repaint it with Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange.

Thanks DeeCee and Joe! Unfortunately, the more I look at this truck, the more I am starting to hate the mismatched paint. I am going to remove the bed and repaint it with Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange. If your going to do that, you will still end up with a miss matched paint job i reckon, as it is almost impossible to match up transparent paints. The only way you will get them to match, would be to prime the cab, and bed, or just some silver base, then re-paint them both at the same time, with the same amount of cotes mate. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news man.

DeeCee, you are not the bearer of bad news. Right now, I have more coats of paint on the cab than the bed and the Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange is not a transparent paint. A good wet coat of paint will cover quite a bit! I think another good coat of paint on the bed should even things out quite a bit. It may not be perfect, but it should be close.

Nice build Michael. With my luck I know what would happen if I tried to repaint for a closer colour match.......It'd go the other way!!

Thanks Deano! If it went the other way, you mean it would be lighter? face%20in%20palm_zpsmit8xdak

Lighter or darker, either way. It would end up worse than when I started! sSig_DOH oh_jeez-1018_zpskf8ctjic

Nicely done Michael, good save, but I did also think the 2 tone orange looked ok.
