Hey dudes, so what is your all time favourite kit? I'm talking that kit that you absolutely love! The one you have multiples of in your stash, the one you have built multiple times, the one you go to for a slump buster. Ok, so you get the idea? I'll start, for me, it's the Revell '41 Willys Gasser. It's my go to kit when I need a slump buster, easy to build and produces a great looking model. Have about 12 in the stash(that I can remember?)     So what's yours? |

I've always liked those Willy's kits as well Bruce. I built two of em in my early years.
Hmmmmm..................  . I'd have to jog things up a bit to honestly answer this question. Fw190's are my "go-to" in aircraft. I don't really have a "go-to" in autos. The Eduard Fw190 kits are without a doubt some of the best that I've built yet and I've got 6 or 7 of them in different variants.
This is my Eduard Fw190 A8/R2 variant. There's just something about an aircraft that's got 2 x 13mm machine guns in the cowl, 2 x 20mm cannons in the wing roots and 2 x 30mm cannons in the outer wings. I just don't think it gets much nastier than that.
Followed up by the Tamiya Fw190 that's littered with Eduard parts all over it. Man I love these birds! Just sleek, fast and evil looking at the same time!
Speaking of which.................I'm long overdue to build one. This is what I call unwinding and taking it easy. |

I don't have a GO TO KIT as such, but the Willy's is a favorite, but the street version, and there is so much you can do, to make it different every time. Also any Mopar muscle, late 60's and early 70's, just because they are tough as, and got big engines, and also, easy to make different from the run of the mill Mopar builds.  But if i'm in the mood to paint, i will crack out a low-rider build, coz they are fun to create.      |

I'm a little bit different in that my favourite kits aren't my go to builders, but they did grow my stash of other kits much faster than i would have. Its the esci ford escort and ford transit kits. I found quite a decent stash of them for pennies, while they were at max prices on ebay. I did originally buy them to build but they were getting over a hundred quid every time and even broken incomplete kits were getting 60 a pop. At those prices I sold the lot and it pretty much built up most of my stash. This was a couple of years ago now, and currently I'm stashing the italleri rereleases with the plan f doing the same with them. My favourite builder would have to be the tamiya mk2 jags or vw karman ghia
