Been slowly getting on with this, as time allows. I'm now calling it the "Surprise Truck" I just wanted to build it so I didn't have a half finished kit in a box. But it's turning out to be a surprisingly good looking model. Some update pics, enjoy. Dirtied up the interior:    |

Man I tried to paint my own Mexican blanket on a 49' merc seat and it turned out less than optimal, would love to find out where I can get my own Mexican blanket decal!

Man I tried to paint my own Mexican blanket on a 49' merc seat and it turned out less than optimal, would love to find out where I can get my own Mexican blanket decal! The kit comes with the blanket decal, which was a nice surprise in the kit. I know one of the Decal companies does a sheet of them, I reckon there is also some pinstripes and such on the sheet. |

You can make your own with sewing thread and double sided tape mate, its dead easy, but it takes a while. I used it on a 58 caddy interior |

Well, home straight on this one. The "Surprise Truck" continues to live upto it's name. I am really, really happy with how good this one looks.  I have a little more weathering and detailing to finish up. The real surprise is in here! (I may have gotten a little carried away with the extra details) Should be finished by the weekend.  |
