I'm sure some of you will remember i applied for a cleaning/night watchman job before christmas. I didn't get that job but the company have just offered me the same job on a different shift. I've taken it so 1 week in 4 I will be cleaning a boat and making sure no-one disturbs the crew/tampers with stuff. Now I knoww I have a job with regular hours I can take on more relief/sick cover work. Things might actually be looking up at last, and it means I get free travel to mainland scotland which is just a small bonus but a cool one

Man that's great news Les! I'm very pleased, I must have done something right at the interview cos they offered me the job before advertising it. Maybe sometimes wearing a suit is useful, lol

Cheers gents, I'm hoping to find another part time job to go along with it, probably another cleaning job. I'm think around 10 hours a week and that'll put me into a healthy enough wage for me. This one isn't quite enough on its own but the perks are good

Perks are a huge factor i think mate, i work on the motor parts industry, the money ain't great, but i get a discount at pretty well ALL auto parts stores, and as you guys know, i'm a car guy. so myself and my son would save thousands each year. Example: $750 for lowered springs for my Chrysler, i got them for $250.... My sons disc for his Landcruiser, $650, i got them for $180, it's not what you know, but who you know...
