So, I've just got off the phone with the police. At the start of the year I ordered a fujimi push bike and roof rack with top box kit for the wagon build in december. We had some heavy snow (for here, nothing like you guys get, lol) so I assumed it was just delayed delivery. On monday last week i contacted the seller to ask if he could track it only to find it was delivered on the 15th, and left on my doorstep. I've done this with parcels since i moved into my flat with no problems, even leaving them on my doorstep for up to 3 weeks before due to being away looking after my gran. Well this time the parcel went missing after delivery and a week of emails and phone calls I traced the route and got all the details from the respective delivery companies. The most annoying thing isn't the loss of the kit (its insured) but the fact that I'm pretty sure I know who took it, but am unable to prove it, however they are the only new resident in my block and things only started going missing on the street when they moved in. I thought it better to get the police involved now rather than do anything myself as I simply dont want the aggravation just now due to my health. I'll let you know how i get on

Well that's the cops been and taken my statement so once i get the crime number i can get my claim started. Because of where i live the parcel went through 3 couriers so it may take some time. I'm not out of pocket so it could be worse.

This is the guy I suspects attempt at a shop robbery that now lives above me. When I said to the police that i suspected him they told me about this video www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-17377089/shop-robber-fought-off-with-sticky-tape

I should have said, the kid in the video getting robbed is 18. That wasn't the guys mistake in choosing to rob him though, the kid is also one of the local rugby team and a farmer, and while not a very big lad he is all power and one of the guys that push the scrum. When you see him clobber the thug over the head he had an old selotape dispenser in his hand. The kid got a bravery award for it

I feel you pain mate, I had a similar situation with a limited edition sample AFV resin kit sent to me by a guy as reward for helping him with subject measurements and details. It was worth $170 and some schmuck decided he'd pick it up off my doorstep, where the less than intelligent courier driver decided it was safe to leave it (in plain sight of the street!). I angrily rang Australia Post and they said it was at the delivery drivers discretion as to whether it was safe to leave the parcel or not .. I guess the less educated moron thought it was? For me it wasn't much pain at all, because as it was a gift, the claim had to be done by the poor guy who made it and had sent it to me, which after much B/S did happen and I received a replacement ... registered mail! But it damaged my relationship with him as a result. I'm more than sure I know which schmuck it was .. two doors down, druggie house, my only giggle out of this is I can see the stupid schmucks face as he opens the box expecting to see something tech and shiny like a new iPhone and finding a "stupid model kit", sad thing is that kit probably ended up smashed up in a bin ... A$$holes!! And they're allowed to breed too Thankfully they moved out a couple of years ago, last I saw Mr Drug Schmuck he had been pulled over by the cops ... I laughed as I cruised past

That's the thing that pisses me off the most, that they would just chuck it. I feel sorry for the guy that stole mines family now though, they found him dead last friday from a heroin od, and his missus is in hospital pregnant and od'd. Where I live used to be a nice place, very low crime and what crime there was, was mostly just folk fighting after the pub. Now heroin and xanax is eveywhere and kids are dieing. Its so bad now on my street and particularly in my building that I'm looking to move out of town. I just want away from the a-holes.
