I use a pre-drilled distributor that's sold by a popular aftermarket supplier. They suggest that you use their ignition wires and plug caps. I think were all looking to "save a few bucks" here and there and I have a different solution. Besides model car building I also fly-fish.That includes fly-tying.Ultra Wire,used for making fly's is available at most fly fishing shops or on-line and comes in a huge array of colors and sizes. The medium size is listed at 0.0126" diameter(mils). A spool is about 2 or 3 dollars and is a LOT more than 2 feet long.

Just ebayed a spool thanks for the tip. I wonder if bass pro shops or something carries this kind of stuff?

The wire is listed on their website as non-tarnishing copper wire and can probably be found at most larger outdoor type businesses ie. Cabela's,Bass Pro,Field&Stream and most flyshops.
