Lots of things in this kit i really like, its over 15" long for a start ! ! But i hate the idea of Revell adding wheels, tyres and a few decals and calling it a Foose edition ! So the big idea is to create a proper Foose car, using the kit supplied stuff and lots of scratchbuilding and imagination ! Just downloading a few pics be back soon ! And yes DeeCee im using the big gay wheels for sure Haha ! !

rolling wasn't expecting that, nearly spat my coffee out when i read that last line mate... sorry%20bout%20dat_zps1nny96hw
It is a great kit, it just needs a lot of work to get it down where it needs to sit, but you will do it justice for sure i reckon.
Now start a painting and glueing man...

Thanks mate..... So first things first, engine bay !? As standard, and mocked up, it looks like this.... I then spent the afternoon cutting up the firewall.... Smoothed firewall needs blending in underneath to fix the gap. I also didnt like the top of the chassis, with floating battery etc ! So ive cut these out too and will replace with sheet plastic !

NICE!!! I'm like you on shaving all that molded in wire detail off. Especially in 1:12 scale. Wow. That "mystical floating battery" is something else aint it? Will be watching this one Martin.

These bigger scale kits give the opportunity to really highlight details. You’re off to great start. I’m sure you have a plan.

Some pro touring style inner fenders would be easy to make, and look real smooth mate.

Thanks guys... More chopping up ! Been trying out different inner fender ideas, and then realised theres no way this can be a proper Low car without a bit more work .... So i chopped out the old inner fenders, smoothed the edges around the bonnet opening (near the hinges) and underneath the top of the wings, and tried again ! Think i can get this thing resting on the sump, hmmm might need to air-bag it now ! !

Quick update... Wanted to make some smooth inner wings, so been trying to design it in 1 piece so no joins can be seen. Finally after cutting up bits of paper all evening i came up with this ! Im happy with this, and fairly sure it will work ok, but now i need to assemble the front suspension and more engine parts to check for clearance ! ( The upper A arms and headers may interfere ) Problem also is the 69 Camaro body sides slope inwards so much its hard to get the body on / off without breaking something. Im thinking the finished engine will be glued in, then the inner wings and radiator etc around it. Heres what ive come up with, more soon....

That looks awesome mate, great idea, but, assemble the front suspension like you said, because, to get it low like you want, you will need to modify the front suspension quite a bit, so do that first, so you get the clearances right. Your really going all out, which is just what i like to see.

Thanks Stitch, and DeeCee ! Yes the suspension will be next, and then the engine. Going up to this bigger scale seems more like real car building ! So many bits to consider with every modification I make, but its good fun ! Shame I can't get better seats, and decent brake discs ! I'm looking into possibly getting some 3D printing done, see how it goes ! I'm also adding hydraulics, or air bags, and hopefully a molded fiberglass look interior ! All wrapped in a smoothed out body with flush glass and a slightly different front / rear end treatment.... Be fun to see your next big Camaro build Dale, hope you get some ideas from this one !

I think I have some 1/12 bucket seats from the 57 chevy if they're any use to you? probably some engine parts too and I'll never use them so you can have them if you want. They're from a built up that has loads missing so would need some clean up but have never been painted

Cool, thanks Stitch ! I'm OK for engine parts I think, but the seats sound very useful ! Any chance of posting a pic of them ?

Thanks guys....... Been a bit busy lately, cant think why......... Ho%20Ho%20Ho_zpsczefllhf Anyway engine is progressing, fan assembly is mocked up, as is the hi rise intake ! And i need to paint the ends of the headers too ! But a lot of this wont be seen anyway as im thinking up a design for a smooth engine cover, which i cant measure up till the engine is in...and the inner fenders ! So heres the motor so far, needs wiring yet too....
