Very cool paint job Dale, looks like Gene Winfield did it ,can't wait to see it polished out! Cheers guys, Mike, i am a big fan of Gene Winfields paint jobs, and i was inspired by an Aussie custom called WILD-CAD, which was painted by Gene, it went to your side of the world and cleaned up at a lot of big shows, but i did not want to try replicate it, as i had my own ideas. www.streetmachine.com.au/features/1711/wild-custom-1959-cadillac-coupe-de-ville-wild-cadWell, here it is all blocked back and foiled. And now all polished, it's been a long night.... it's midnight.

Now that you say it the third color jumps out at me..It matches your avatar pretty well too. I've never built a model with a time line I wonder how short a month actually is when it comes to painting, curing etc. I am pretty sure I have some enamels that would be hard to polish out in a short period of a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Looking forward to seeing this one finished. I only use auto acrylics, this way if i am doing multi paint colors, i can tape it up in under an hour and keep painting, and i only leave it 24-48 hours before polishing. And sometimes a month only seems to have 2 weeks in it with a big build, but you can also start it before the build month and just post up your progress pics when the time comes mate. and Thanks

Dale, have you been to California lately? Here is a picture from a model contest that they held inside the NHRA museum that you might find a bit on the interesting side!!

California is a lot of pay cheques away for me mate, but that would be a model of the AUSSIE build called "WILD CAD", one super impressive wild custom built in Australia, and took out so many USA car show trophies, one of the best Caddies you will ever see.. And yes, it was an inspiration for my build.
