Time to add to the 'Vette collection. This is the AMT "Boyd Coddington" 1962 Corvette. It's something of an odd duck. It includes lots of parts that aren't used and wouldn't even fit if you tried. I get the impression that they took an existing 'Vette kit and added whatever customizing parts were needed. So for so good, anyway. I'm really liking these colors. egyptian

Thanks, all. I thought I was almost finished with this, but when I sprayed the clear coat it "melted" the chrome trim I'd painted on. This hasn't happened before, so I have no idea why. Time to repaint. Oh well, at least the rest of it is done, and painting the body is probably the easiest part of the whole process. I hope to have it done in a few days.

As much as I liked that color, the paint was too difficult to work with. Just didn't cover well. I stripped it and repainted with a similar color of craft paint. Now the body accent no longer matches the interior because I used a white primer on the body the second time around. Oh well. I'm going to go ahead and finish it this way. I'd like to move on to the next one.
