This is in the same boat as the PT Cruiser, a cool looking car, only not enough Cylinders...... So, my job this month, is to put it right, and build a Prowler we all would love to have seen... I'll call it the STALKER..

After chopping off the gearbox, and removing the driveplate from the Prowler engine, and adding it to the 426, it was time for a test fit.... and it FITS !!!

Cheers men, well, looks like this theme was a bit of a flop... bit like the subject matter.. Progress is slow, as i have a lot of 1:1 on the go, but i need to pull the finger out, and get er done !! Chassis is now gunmetal grey, and the 426 Hemi is Barbados Green, an Aussie muscle car color, bit like Sublime. Hope to get plenty done this week..

Cheers Mike, slow progress, but i've got the engine sorted, and as it was a modern concept, i thought i should run with modern injection, just to keep it legit..

Cheers Joel, it's been a hectic month with buying and selling in the 1:1 world, and haven't felt like modeling at all, but it's over now, and one of the few times in life, i came out on top for a change, now, back to modeling.. I smoothed the roof, and got rid of the "soft top" look to it, and got the interior finished too.

Are you making it into a coupe rather than a soft top?

WELL !!!!! What a pain this has been, tried to strip the black, No go... so as soon as i hit it with primer... BOOM!! up the paint went, so i dropped it in brake fluid, as the caustic soda just did not work for the first time ever... So, it undid the body work i had already done, so this is where i am tonight, re did the roof, and remade the mold line, which will be chromed once it is painted... which means i will have a busy week-end by the look of things..

What a pain but have always had the same problem removing black paint, whether its cheap paint from the cheap shop or duplicolor, must be something in the pigment. What do you use to strip the paint, as I use mr muscle oven cleaner with great success apart from as mentioned black paint.

I'm liking seeing this come together. I have a couple of these but never built, though some parts appeared on a '32 I'm on. I like this car, but even more so, I like that Chrysler BUILT this! Those plug wires curl like the manifold .. nice!

I dont know if you get it in ozzieland, but i use fairy power spray, it works on all paints, from enamel to acrylic and since it comes in a plastic spray bottle is safe for plastic. It works fastest when sprayed on and put in a sealed tub, but keep the stuff that runs off as it still works (I'm still using stuff thats 2 years old) and is safe to use indoors and pour down the sink when its done. Sometimes it leaves a little grey smear after stripping black but a light 1500 wet n dry cleans it off to like new. Its an oven cleaner but less fumey than mr muscle, though i still use mr muscle for stripping chrome as it much faster for it

OK, after all the trouble with stripping the paint, i hit it with primer, came up OK, then hit it with some color... BOOM!!! It all blew up like i have never seen before, i don't know what it was painted with before i got it, but it is nasty... I don't know what else to do with it, it has reacted twice now, and as it is a build i really didn't care for, only decided to do it to try get some interest in a bad topic... I'm done with it, there is no time to try and sort out the paint issues.... so i am inserting it into a box for a while... it will get done, just not in the near future. Sorry guys, it's not often i don't finish a build, but this time...... Les, i have never seen fairy power spray mate, but i am sure the same thing is in a bottle with a different label. Will keep the eye open.

Try a coat of aluminum paint. Best sealer I've tried. Covers putty, ghost lines, red plastic, and many other ills.

I'm glad you came back to this one. Taking care of life is always a priority. This is certainly the first time ever that I've seen you not complete a build for a monthly contest. Too bad it was being nasty with you. You'll get the next one, I'm sure!
