I'm more than likely going to be off line from about late Friday until when ever it is this hurricane is finished with us down here. It's expected to make land fall by late tomorrow and be in full swing by Saturday. I already know my power's gonna go out so that'll mean no internet from the house. Currently it's a Category 2 Hurricane and may move to a 3. We are planning on vacating if that happens. Will keep you guys posted.

My wife and I are both in wheelchairs so we can't leave. Have to sit it out. You and your family should stay safe.

We worked for two days buttoning down the hatches and sandbagging around the back door to keep the water out and got tha Hell outta Dodge (no hit against the auto maker) . Dennis I hope you and your wife are doing well and will fare well against all the flooding that this storm has in store.

It's a now a category 4. You guys stay safe. So far we're doing good. We should be heading back home tomorrow but the house seems unaffected save for one side of the fence in the back yard. I left the truck in the driveway and it doesn't have a scratch on it. Power is restored as well. My boss doesn't know what the work schedule is going to be like next week so he'll be letting me know about that. I and my family want to thank you all for the kind comments and prayers.

Did anyone hear from Dennis? I hope his wife and him are ok. Hey everyone. I talked to Dennis. Although not the best circumstances, him and his wife are now safe and dry in a motel. It's not looking good for his house and belongings or even his pets which he had to leave behind. Struggling, but they're there. I'll keep you posted on what else I hear. We may want to think of doing something for him. Anything helps. Joe, how are you guys doing?

Please pass along to him that he and his wife are in our family thoughts and prayers.
Our family got off really light as opposed to the folks in Rockport, Ingleside and Aransas Pass. Those three places suffered horribly. After we made a 9 hour trip north to where my family is, we got a hotel and backed up and regrouped and planned our re-entry back into Corpus while we were there. We spent my birthday on the road on Sunday but she, along with my side of the family threw a really big birthday bash for me on Saturday evening. We returned home to find the only damage being to the back fence which had blown over and some limbs in the yard. Pretty much no damage at all. Thank you guys for all the continued inquiries and comments. You guys are da bomb.

Yeah Harvey went back out into the gulf, reformed into a strong tropical storm and headed for Louisiana. This thing is historic and incredible!!!! Rain totals for Houston...................at just under 50" just from this storm.
