Didn't want to have to make a few different threads to catch up, so here's my completed models so far. When I finish new ones (a very rare occurrence) I'll make em' their own threads if that's what ya's want, or just update this thread
Snap-Tite Monte Carlo: My first go at doing a lowrider paint job, and BMFing a build. I didnt pay much attention to the interior, it was mostly just done to get the airbrushing practice. All Tamiya colours, base colour is Silver Leaf shot through a rattle can. No idea where the wheels are from, a really good mate sent them to me. I rekon they suit the 70s look. Lost the side-view mirrors, made a couple mistakes in the paint and forgot to put in the headlights lol
62 Catalina- Tamiya paint, Pegasus wheels, pearl powder in the clear coat. Pretty standard stuff.
It's hard to see the pearl in the clear, difficult to photograph.
Ford Interceptor (?)- It's the police-car kit so I don't know the exact year/model. Similar to the Catalina, Tamiya paint (from a rattlecan this time), Pegasus wheels. The only thing I really did to this kit is the lowering and I made some new inner doorskins since the kit-supplied ones were a little lacking.
Toyota Levin- Used as a practice model for doing rust with acrylic paint. Main colours is Silver Leaf, wheels are Fujimi Advan A3As with Aoshima camber tyres on em'. Just kinda went wild with the rust, painted it on in varying thickness', it's all Tamiya brown, or flat brown, can't remember. The black part on the rear is semigloss black and the black door has black BMF on it.
MR2- Did this one as low as humanly possible. Tamiya Mica Green, Aoshima wheels and tyres, bootlace ferrule exhaust tips, painted the windows and interior flat black, nice and plain.
And that's it. Been building for a little over 12 years and that's all I've finished lol
