Great to see you back at the bench mate, and a great looking start too. I like the traditional looking colors on it too, The Texaco decals will really rock it out.

I like the results that you got in that truck bed. I'll have to hit Ken up as well.

I used KPNuts' pastel technique for the woodgrain in the bed, and I am very happy with the results. No foolin'! I would be pleased also, that looks amazing to say the least!! And this is the first time trying this method for you?You sir are a quick study my friend!! Great job!!! David S.

Thanks for the kind words David.Yep, no foolin', first time. The technique is all in his thread here: custom-model-society.boards.net/thread/235/soliel-royal. I already had a bunch of chalk pastels I use for weathering. Very easy, just have to make sure you have chalk pastels and not wax ones.

Well dudes, I'm out! I got close, but just ain't gonna get it done in time. A bit disappointed, but pretty happy to get it to this stage inside a month. (very unusual for me)

I love it Bruce!! That is a perfect color combo for that truck. It makes me want to sing a song-
"You can trust your car to the man who wears the star" - - "The big bright Texaco star"!!
