Just love the shape of this model, probably my favorite of the 300 series cars.
Glad you left the rear trim, i think it breaks up the size of the rear guard, it is HUGE!
I like the 5 spoke wheel choice myself, throw in a fade style paint job...... drooling%20smiley_zpsbamzenvx

Thanks for the comments everyone. Was thinking the same thing Dale have had these rims on so many previous builds but really like the look of these on the 300. Not that confident doing a fade job with rattle can, have had an air brush set up since christmas but still havent opened the box to it yet, but thinking of doing a silver body with a purple or regency red pearl top done in lace work for something a little different.

I'm not a fan of silver on cars but that thing looks really smooth and clean with it. That's also a tough color to show because silver shows all body molding and body work flaws very easily. This paint job is a testament to the fact that you've got both aspects well covered.

This paint job is a testament to the fact that you've got both aspects well covered. I hear you on that one Joe. Spend another hour after taking the pics just polishing out some blemishes that I didn't see until I got it out into the sunlight, so that's about 3 hours spent polishing the hood alone and spent about four hours on the roof last night polishing so I can get the roof color down but in the end will be worth the effort. Dale going for duplicolor regency red pearl roof which is more of a maroon color unless something else jumps out at me from my paint stash, only wish I kept this one for the anniversary build off as the only other 50's kit I have is the christine pro sportsman kit. Thanks Jason think the color will really suit the car once the roof and the bmf is done, going for that long luxo cruiser look. While having a break from polishing last night spent some time on the interior and removed all the interior handles and found a switch box from a pro stock kit which Im going to try and carefully remove the switches from to use as electric window switches.

Thanks Dennis hope to have paint on the roof today. Here is a few pics after spending about 8 hours of polishing up the body, then will get the roof painted and polished, then the bmf and clear coat and then the polishing starts again. r

Thanks Dale just trying to figure out interior color. Was thinking of white and the regency red but unsure whether to do the dash silver or in the regency red, don't want to go with black which would be a bit too easy
