Well, after the Bug, i feel the NEED for a MOPAR !!! So, this Linberg '64 Dodge is the lucky contestant, along with these Aoshima wheels, to create one TUFF Touring street car. I also purchased a pile of VCG Resin a little while ago, so it will have an EFI injected Hemi, just got to make up my mind which one yet.

Thanks for the interest guys, here is where i will head with the engine. It is the kit 426 Hemi, with a VCG Resin EFI ram system on top, but... i think i might need a hole in that hood..

Now this is going to be sweet Dale. That injection set up looks wild and the rims and stance look awesome.Have about 5 330's on the go at the moment and the only real negative I have with this kit is the rear tail lights being so bulky so I ended up sanding one set down and think they look heaps better.

Steve, thanks for the tip mate, i had a look and see exactly what your talking about, and see i do have to rectify that, will make for a much nicer looking rear end for sure.

Well, we can't have a Tuff Touring Mopar with a leaf rear end....... SO, a good solid night at the bench fixed that..

I have sanded a few down myself. those tail lights are as big as carburetors!! just take your time and sand them down evenly, won't take too long and will make a big difference in the build... which is turning out great. you are certainly a great craftsmen when it comes to rear suspensions too.

Looking good Dale but see what you mean with the upper arms. Just an idea what if you modify the floor pan by removing some of it from where it kicks back to the diff and flatten it out upwards so you could make up some longer upper arms that will also mount straighter. Should still be able to fit the rear seat with that mod but you may have to check.

Thanks for that Steve, i looked at your idea, and it is a good idea, but, i'll be honest, could not be bothered, sorry%20bout%20dat_zps1nny96hw but will keep it in the back of the head for future builds mate. so i just made the upper arms a little thinner, they don't look as bad now. Also found some good size discs for it too, a bit of work making them fit though. Hope to start some detail painting tomorrow..

Thanks D, should be a nice quick build too.. I've thought that many times and even looked in my stash for a nice quick build or slump buster and when I start it I start finding things I can make better or detailing the engine more and my nice quick easy build gets tough. Even though I'm not as experienced as you and other builders in here I still try to make them better and not box stock and complicate things for myself.

Well, a small amount done over the last couple of nights. Painted the rear and chassis, and assembled most of the engine. It's getting damn cold of a night here, so im a bit soft on going out into the shed to paint..... i'll harden up soon, just got to get used to it..

The line you put in the chassis looks good and the wiring with boots on the engine does too.

Now that is turning out to be a real beast Dale. Why not let the injection stick slightly out of the bonnet with no scoop shotgun style. Got any pics of the front end as it looks like you have deleted the inner guards.

Cheers guys, Steve, you have me thinking about the 'no scoop" idea mate, as i have to cut out a hole any way, i will make it tight ans see how it looks. As for the the engine bay, i cut out the inner guards and grafted some from an old pro stock? chassis, this gives me clearance for the big wheels.

Cheers Dale for the pick of the front end. Have one on the go at the moment, sort of a cross between a pro touring and pro street, and wanted to get rid of the inner guards but wasn't sure which way to go and you have given me a few ideas now.

Damn you and your awesome builds Dale. Have you got your treads on for doing circle work? One thing I did notice, if you were to "shorten" the bush end of the upper and lower arms they would look smaller. praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticon

Steve, glad to be of some help mate..

Got a few good hours in on this one today, laid down some paint, and finished up the interior for it too. Still might add something to the paint though, it's a bit plain, also thinking of painting the centres of the wheels the same color as the chassis, just to toughen it up a bit.. Still on the fence weather to add a hood scoop or not too.. thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon
