Hi guys, I'm Morrie, I got invited over here from another site, I have been a member since it started but have been avoiding model forums as I have been living 4500km from my modelling stuff for the last 6 months, I didn't want to be reminded that I cant build anything new every time I see some else's cool build.
So I have been building for about 5 or 6 years now, I started when a hobby shop gave a mate a few kits for free and he gave me couple and I started, then I was hooked, I love painting so it was a good way to paint cars without having to spend thousands on real ones. I had build a few kits over the years but only about 4 all up since the 80's.
I was just building stock and lowered kits and then had a go at a bit of custom work like engine swaps, then a roof chop, then it got a bit more and more, now building chassis, bodies and anything else I want, then I was getting into the photography side of the hobby and needed back drops so started build sets and that got me really into building diorama's and love getting into the small detailing so model building suits me well.
My new thing is weathering, that's a who lot of fun, messing stuff up to make it look old.
Fortunately I pick up new skills really fast and generally work reasonably fast so I tend to pump out a lot of builds when I get good idea's, usually when I'm half way through a build ..lol.. nerwth_bf-devilsmiley
Anyway, I will post my builds when I get back home and set up my building area in a month or so.
