Yup, that body's primed alright. Must be a hinged front end. Good choice.

Cool project Steve. I never really minded the kits that were molded in a certain color but it's all about what color I'll be winding up with in the end I guess. I've found that the worst thing "Revellogram" ever did was the fit quality of these old kits. Good grief they take a lot of work to whip into shape!! Between the fit and all the hideous looking / half a$$ blobs they call parts (carburetors, seats, foot pedals and shifter levers and such) it's a wonder any of these get built by many of the more advanced modelers at all. They are cool subjects though and IMO that's what keeps us coming back to them. lol

Cool kit, you can see it was a 70's design, but that's not a bad thing. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it

Looks good so far. Did you cut the front subframe out or is that a two piece chassis on that one?

Steve that does look pretty dang good there buddy. Like you, I'm surprised the decals held up after all this time. I've heard gloss coating the decal sheet to help out with the fragil nature of old decals. The last two 80's models that I built I had to get the decal sheets completely replaced through out sourcing to a decal vendor. There are some folks that can make a replacement decal sheet in the community here and abroad though. As a side note and I'll mention it purely to help you out, you can take a little sand paper to those tire tread areas to give the tires that street worn appearance and it really adds another "level up" to a build. You did a great job on this kit and Dale's right, I've seen flip nose after flip nose built and I've seen a lot of folks have problems with the fit and appearance of them. It looks like you, however, got it right.

Yeah, . . . . . it looks great! I'm a bit surprised that you went through all the trouble to prime and then just paint it black anyway. I love those old Monogram kits!! I think maybe it's a "trying to recapture my youth thing." Nice work!!!

I hate "molded color" kits they just look fake to me....I've even tried in the past to spray clear gloss over molded color to help, but its still looks toyish to me so I go the extra mile...
