Nice color Joe, pitty about the sink though, next time, don't strip the paint back, just block it, and re-prime it, as the first cote of paint will keep it sealed. ( works for me). Engine is coming along nicely too.

Thanks fellas. Still on this one. Finished the last coat of primer two days ago and have been making final sanding/ corrections to make sure it's smooth as a baby's butt. Should be laying paint tomorrow morning....................hopefully. This time I'll be airbrushing it though. Fingers crossed.

I've got COLOR!!! I ended up applying another coat of primer and smoothed all the imperfections out (a couple of freekin' dog hairs and some dust particles) and dispensed the paint into a paint jar and shot it through my airbrush. I had ALOT better results this time around fellas, however this paint does not play well with the air brush. Even after thinning the crap out of it I had difficulty in getting a uniform spray pattern to come out. I can't complaint too much as I'll be able to make this work out good in the end. These pics were taken after the results from my Badger 200. After these I decided to break out the much simpler Badger 350 and had a lot better luck with the pattern and a more consistent coat. I'm really going to be very happy with this color on this car is all I've gotta say:
Engine is still coming along. Resin Holley test fitted onto the motor complete with throttle shaft and throttle lever.

I did a lot of work on the carburetor this weekend. I did NOT like how the carburetor finish was turning out so I stripped all the parts back off of it and dropped it in some brake fluid overnight. After that I re-primed it with semi gloss black and shot an enamel based coat of chrome silver and gold mix and let that dry overnight. I installed some fuel lines made from a straight pin and drilled holes into the carburetor in which to mount the dual feed assembly. I topped that off with an anodized fuel fitting from RB Motion and will be running braided fuel line from there on down to the fuel pump. I reinstalled the PE throttle lever back onto the throttle shaft made from a smaller pin and brushed a light coat of Tamiya Smoke onto the whole carburetor to bring out all the details.
I'm MUCH happier with the outcome:

Thanks Martin and Steve. I ended up installing the carburetor onto the engine this morning and installing the vacuum line from the distributor to the back of the carburetor. I've also got to install at power brake booster vacuum line later. I managed to get some of the throttle linkage like the throttle bellcrank assy at the rear of the intake manifold but still need to install the lever and return spring. I'm also working on the charging system wire harness. After that I'll be rollin' forward with the heater hoses, fuel delivery lines and filter then I'll tackle the rocker cover wing bolts and finally to top it all off, the star pattern cooling flex fan. In short................I've got a ways to go.
