Even though I already have several projects on the go none of them are calling to me so why not one more? I seem to have a hankerin' for a car so looked through the stash and the Duster stood out. Probably will end up shoved back in the box until I get my gumption back but here we go. Not going to bother with a bunch of sprue shots but will make sure I show the sub assemblies as I move along. This is the 2018 new mold and reviews pan this kit due to the "wrong shape rear side windows" but it looks like a Duster to me. All the parts are well molded with no flash or deformities. I am going for something like this only leaning more to the orange since I already have enough red car models. It will have a vinyl roof since I am a fan of them on the old MOPARs. It will of course be 95% OOB as I do most of my models.

The 340 is actually very nice. Only thing is that it has the old school antigravity hovering alternator. All parts base coated. Black is the NATO black which is really a very dark grey for reasons that will come into play down the road.

Great save on that twisted frame, that was bad!

Great save on that twisted frame, that was bad! Sure was nasty! It was on it's own little sprue that was packed vertical in the box full of horizontal sprues. I think it just got squished between them. Quite frankly I am started to get disillusioned with some of these Round 2 kits as this sort of thing has popped up on all that I have built. None are major and all are fixable but it is consistent.

The 340 is actually very nice. Only thing is that it has the old school antigravity hovering alternator. ask your bank for the clips they snap off their bank cash transfer bags. tiny oddly shaped bit of plastic that make perfect brake caliper mounts or if yiu snap them work well for the bits that hang off an engine. i used to clean a bank (they even gave ME keys, lol) and they often came home with me. i did ask first though

In this particular case the alternator actually sits close enough to the block that you wouldn't see a bracket anyway. I will however ask my wife to see if she can grab some during her next work bank run. I can already picture the eye roll when I say what they are for.

Nice work Tony, the aging looks convincing Thanks. I tend to want to put some wear and tear on my cars because most of what I have ever owned were rather beat so that is where my brain goes while building.
