Ok fellows. What quality paint brushes do you use for our hobby paints? Hobby Lobby has a Big selection of brushes but they are all marked as oil paint brushes I believe. The cheap ones in the model section are stiff and not very good. What paint brushes do you use and where do you buy them?

have a look on amazon for nail art brushes. if you dont mind ordering from china you can get sets of 30 for about ten bucks or dollar/pound shops have packs of 8. the ones from china are my go to but i'm scottish and tight. nail varnish is just thick acrylic paint anyway. sometimes you can find the big packs for a couple of pounds too so i tend to buy them then. the nail art stuff is an often forgotten place to look but because its so competitive there ar screaming deals to be found if you aren't too worried about price art shops will have loads of styles but you'll pay more simply because art shops are pretentious so most of the cost is just to polish the owners ego.

I use the Hobby Lobby brushes. The ones with the thick red handles. They work well with enamels and acrylics both.

I tend to use a quality brush, usually about $4-8 each, but they last for years
and don't leave bristles and brush marks on the painted surface like the $2 ones do.

Oh yeah, I shape my bristles before putting the brushes away. This way they paint like they should when I need them.
I also have two expensive brushes that are super fine, like 50/0 or smaller that I use for detail work on cockpits etc. Well worth the money.

I bought mine from SMS paints. I tend to go for quality and then look after then. I do have a few sets, 1 set for oils, another set for weathering and another for diorama type work. As my good brushes wear, they slowly get downgraded to less demanding roles.
