Thanks Joe, I hope to unbox it this coming weekend and try a couple test sprays. I guess I need some regular paint thinner. I do have some pre-mixed airbrush paints I picked up at Hobby Lobby, so I do gots me some ready to use paints

I'm getting ready to try Gravity Colors for the first time on my next build so we'll see how that all goes.

I was looking over that MCW site - what do you prefer? Lacquer or Enamel. And do you dilute anything, or just pour a little into the cup?

MCW shoots as is BUT.....you can use slow lacquer thinner from Restoration Shop paint products. The part # is LT-85. The reason that I use the thinner is because MCW tends to "spider web" from the AB without it. Using the lacquer thinner you can shoot it from the AB around 15-20 psi and it lays down perfect. Another important note: Don't go for too much of a wet coat with the color. It tends to dry more smoothly that way. Just experiment and you'll find what works best for you brutha.

Thanks Joe, I am soaking up the tips. I do plan to spray, and spray, and clean, and spray some more some test shots for sure. Until I get ready, I will use up my rattle cans.

Hi Tom. I'm new here but sort of did the same... gave up my drums and got back into models. I miss playing them but when I turned 65 I was retired and downsizing. I had the pleasure of playing in some really good bands back in the 70s, and did occasional session work up until around 2009. Welcome aboard bud!! Great to have you aboard and can't wait to see your ongoing as well as completed builds. Musicians amaze me constantly. Being a HUGE fan of music, I really enjoy good live music when the opportunity arises.
