Cool little rod mate, i like the color scheme too. What is the difference between the Anglia and the Pop ?? I saw the show " Wheeler Dealer" with the Ford Pop, they both look the same to me .. ??

Hi DeeCee, I think the difference in name is from where they was built, it seems the British built ones are known as Pops, when I was younger and in the hotrod scene we called the sit and begs for some reason. There are still lots about at the UK car shows. Islandrods

Cool little rod mate, i like the color scheme too. What is the difference between the Anglia and the Pop ?? I saw the show " Wheeler Dealer" with the Ford Pop, they both look the same to me .. ?? the sit up and beg Anglia was built up to early 1954 and were 2 doors ,4 doors were called the Prefect . in 1954 ford bought a new Anglia model out called the 100E (4 door called the Prefect )which was a monocot chassis .they carried on building the sit up and beg but called it a Popular 103E,they had a steel dash .the early Anglia sit up and beg had a bakerlite dash . the Popular 103E cheaper car the cheaper car than the new Anglia 100E and they carried on building them till 1959. in 1959 Ford bought out a new Anglia called the 105E (only made a 2 door and a 3 door estate) and the 100E became the Popular .yes confusing is nt it.i own a 100E Popular see my profile picture. so from 1939 -54 the car was called an Anglia .after 54-59 the same car with a few different bits of trim and dash was a Popular or Pop as they are known

Very confusing mate... here in Australia, we had the anglia and prefect, similar to your pic, but never the "sit up and beg" version.

Nice looking build. Gotta love them Blowers! As everyone said, nice colors. 1 thing, get some paint and brush the inside plastic where you cut the hole in the hood for the blower... sorry, hate to be that guy... can we get a shot of the chassis?

Very confusing mate... here in Australia, we had the anglia and prefect, similar to your pic, but never the "sit up and beg" version. you had sit up and begs in 2 doors 4 doors, open tops and utes in Australia .all the body models ended with an A for Australia these cars were only available in Australia .I managed to get hold of an Anglia Ute resin model body .the wheel base was the same as Ohio Georges 33 Willys and made a model to suit. i`ll post a picture in the on the road section
