Hi guys, I took the 29 Roadster out of my display case and found that the rims are melting. I'm thinking the tires are the problem. Did this ever happen to any of you guys?

I haven't built mine yet but it looks like it the tyres have started seperating. I've read about people putting a layer of foil on the wheels to stop that but from the pic you might need new rims and tyres

I have 2 on open shelves and that has not happened to mine. Maybe fumes inside the display case is attacking the tires and wheels?

Mike, How long ago did you build yours? I built this about 4 years ago it might take some time for this to happen. I have 50 or so models in my display case and this is the only model with that problem. I know its not the glue that I use because I use it on all my builds with no problems at all.

I avoid using any type of adhesive on wheels and tires. If they don't friction-fit, I look for an alternative.
