Yeah, been concentrating on a build for another forum Joe turned me on to. Trying to revive the place, see a few from here have made it there as well. Also, been concentrating on my show cars, The Fulton N.Y. model car show/contest is happening this November 21st. (First show in better than 2 years!!) I have been tying up some loose ends and getting ready for the show...Hope to blow some minds this year with what I have in store for em. Here is a taste of what I have been up to for the show. Been adding all the little details that make this look convincing. Also discovering along the way that I need to scratch build a few things to finish it off, like a drum pump, some wood wheel chocks and a pair of bottle jacks (Not done yet) Hope to blow some minds with the whole Ford Drag Team ensamble...We shall see . If I get a chance I will post up some highlights of the build I'm doing on the Jerrys Cherrys forum for you guys!! Soo, not gone just too busey for my own good LOL.

WOW, that is a lot of great scratch building there Pete, nice work.. I think a lot of us have been absent from time to time... including me, life, work and everything else just seems to get in the way at times.

Thanks Mike...its been a long road. Yes, I always liked the lines of the 36 coupe. Used to work on a 36 Ford Phaeton for its owner a good while back. General maint' and repairs. Fella used it as a daily driver For years. I used to take it to shows/cruises and the occasional parade...lOL...Good times. Speaking of shows... Heres the complete package, ready to go! LOL...Behold! The 69 Ford factory Drag Team of Hubert Platt and Randy Payne!!! Think I'll blow their minds!?...

Thanks Dale! Well, the Fulton model show/contest was good. The Drag Team was the rock star of the show! Everyone loved it. Cant tell you how many pics were taken of it. LOL...They'll start showing up on the interwebs soon I bet!! Let me know if you see em somewhere. I was invited to bring it down to a show in Allentown PA In October. The shows held in a car museum (Too cool) Everyone swore it should win "best in show"...LOL...It didn't. It did win "Best Ford" though. Judges moved it to the "Miscellaneous" category. It got lumped in with dioramas and Sci Fi... Oh well, leaves the door open for the local IPMS show in April. I think it will be well received there too. Also! My 70 R/T Charger won first place and best mopar. My 64 Cobra won 1st place and my Bronco took 2nd. All in all...Not too shabby. I did manage to grow the stash by 8 more kits and a few Detail master goodies came home as well.

Had to adjust the cross member (Grind a trough in it) to get a proper Hemi to fit and sit low enough. And that was after altering the oil pan so it wont scrape on the ground! LOL. First pick is the initial fit, second..well...yeah gotta do it up right!

Thanks Leon!! Finally got the chassis permanently mounted under the body. I really was sure the window glass was gonna POP right out. Its all a tight fit under the body. Talk about 10 pounds of s... in a 5 pound bag. Its so tight that the hood wont fit between the fenders now LOL...Gonna have to shave the side of it down and re-paint...Other than that, it fit together, mods and all like I almost know what I'm doing! Heres a few pics gang...Enjoy!! Now for the hard part, finishing out the build. Hopefully the next pics you see will be of the finished product! Thanks for looking everyone and stay tuned...It aint over yet!!
