Mighty Fine work on this truck.Very clean build. I bought one of these trucks off a dog lot once. The owner of the lot had just got it in and didn't know much about it, it was a one owner. This was in the 1980's and I took it for a test drive and found the original owners address and phone number in the glove compartment. The truck looked brand new and had 15,000 miles on it. I called the owner and he said those miles were real. He bought it new and his wife drove it to the store where she worked and that's all. It had never been on the road. It had a 350 with two barrel carb on it and ran great. Sucked gas bad though which I always wondered about with only a 2 brl carb. I bought that truck for $1000.00 and drove it with no problems for 13 years and hated to see it go when I traded it in. One of the best vehicles I ever owned.

I'd like to own one, it's just that here in Australia we get shafted on imported vehicles and people want way to much for them.

That is one sweet pickup! Looks like something I'd love to drive to car shows! Thanks ak, one day when the kids grow up I hope to have one of these also, or any other ol' school muscle/american classic. We don't have much in Australia when it comes to cars like this.

Every time I look at this it brings back memories of the one I owned. I drove it camping and fishing all the time and everyday to work. Never let me down. I wish it had been the color you painted this though. Mine was a really pukey lime green and butt ugly. If it had been this color I probably would still have it.

I've gotta say , that's one clean build and that is definitely a good looking color as well as a great looking finish. Dad had one of these when I was growing up with an old 235 six in it. Like Dennis said..............memories.

I just discovered I have one of these kits with a boat and trailer included. I liked my 1:1 truck so much I was sure I would have bought a model of it and I did. I hope I can do as good a job on it as you did this one.

Thanks Big D, I would love to find one of those kits and do it all over again. Knowing you and some of your builds, you will knock it out of the park.
