Thanks Mike, Les and moramarth! I am considering using a smaller size pin head for this. Something where the pinhead could fit inside the tubing. I will have to try one to see if I like it or not.

With the tubes glued to the pinheads, I sanded them down, applied some Molotow Liquid Chrome and Tamiya Clear Orange and Clear Red paint. Now, they are closer to the body and son't look as bad as they did before. More Barracuda to come...

I started foiling this afternoon. I started with the hardest areas to foil. The wheelwells, rocker panels and the rear taillight. The wheelwells alone took me almost an hour to do. I keep hearing Heart and their song, Barracuda in my mind! More Barracuda to come...

Cuda is turning out nicely Mike!!. Love the color. I also like the fact that you went ahead and corrected the engine compartment fender apron issue with the kit. Nicely done, in the future try using some aluminum tubing for the those pre 69 mopar side marker lights. Drill an appropriate size hole for the tubing in the body, slip a piece of finished/polished tubing in place. Add some glue to the hole in the tube. Once dry, paint it the appropriate color and Taa Daa!!! Mopar side markers. If you use a glue that dries clear. You can add your paint from the back side to really give it some depth/realism.

Thanks pete! I have so many different ideas for the '68 Mopar Side Markers and I need to decide on one that makes the most sense, i.e. looks the most accurate.

It's getting there! I started adding the valances and bumpers. So far the rear is done and the front is being worked on. If there is a reason why I don't like old AMT/MPC kits, this is one of them! I have been stressing for hours on the grille and front valance since they don't want to fit correctly! More Barracuda to come...

Thanks Joe! The more I stared at the front of the Barracuda, the more I hated it! I don't like the poor fit of the grilles and the open ends of the lower grille header. I tore it all apart! The grille header will have some shaped styrene added to the ends and I will try to reshape the grilles and the grill header for a better fit! And, I thought I was making progress! More Barracuda to come...

Tonight, I tried my hand at creating a set of exhaust tips made from styrene. I used two pieces of 1/8th inch styrene tube and two short lengths of 1/16th inch rod glued together. The rods fits into two holes I drilled in the molded chassis pan exhaust and the molded tubes have angle cuts made with eye-ball engineering. Now to paint them up! More Barracuda to come...

Thanks Les and Dennis! The grille has been rebuilt and it does look a lot better than before. I just don't like making major changes on a finished painted and polished body. You add to the risk of causing some sort of damaged that you have to repair in order to fix something else.
