It appears that using an ad blocker is a violation of ProBoards Terms of Service. To be forced to view ads that I do not want to see has me considering leaving all ProBoards websites. I am currently getting unwanted redirects from websites wanting me to renew my virus protection which I already have. I am getting redirects from unwanted websites pushing news from whereever. I don't want any of these. Sorry guys, but I guess I am leaving.

Please don't go, you contribute some really nice builds. Ads,especially pop-ups, are an annoyance but I find I'm so used to ignoring them they just don't register; it's a sort of mental Ad blocker.

That's unfortunate, but places like ProBoards need to have the ads to survive, that's their main income. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't!

I dont know what browser you use but I'm usinf firefox with the ublock origin filter. I've had no problems with pop ups or others.

That would be a shame Mike, as you do a lot of great work here. Please reconsider,
as you would be greatly missed.
I have never had a pop up, just the add that sits above the menu page, maybe it is the anti virus you are using ?

Don't go Mike...Who else is gonna give us crime stories along with his build stories. Just think of the Pop ups as back pain, we all have it, we learn to accept it isn't going away and we ignore it as much as possible. Its just a fact of life in todays "Connected" world. Don't go Mike...

Yeah that is weird. I only see the tiny banners at the top and bottom of pages. In fact, I don't "see" them. My mind blocks them. I have never had a redirect on this site.
Hope you can get it sorted.

Okay, I have downloaded Firefox into my laptop. Let's see if those unwanted redirects and sudden website changes will happen on this browser.

you have to get the Ublock addon like stitch said. That is a very useful tool. It will help with all your browsing.

So far, so good! I have had NO redirects or unwanted websites. Maybe it was my browser. I don't know for sure.
