So, after the disappointment of the 57 Ford going pear shaped with so many missing parts, i jumped straight back on the bike and pulled out a 59 Cadillac convertible, pity i don't like convertibles, so i straight up started modifying the kit soft top, to make it a hard top. Sanded out all the ribs, and lengthened it a little as i am also dropping the rear height for a more sinister look.. Need to make a new back window, and shape the side openings yet..      |

Very, very cool Dale, I've been looking for the coupe de ville version of this kit for a while. Thanks Bruce, Leon  Would love one myself, very hard to find, this is why i have to make my own hard top. AS i have lengthened the roof to counteract lowering it at the rear, i also had to add a tiny piece in the side pillar.  Then after a lot of sanding on the top side, and re-profiled the side opening, it's taking shape, still need to make the rear window opening.   |

Guys, thank you very much... Now the exciting bit, PAINT !! Red Metalcast by dupli-color, over silver, with some shadowing. Should pop with some chrome thrown in the mix.   |

Thanks guys, i'm into the time consuming bit, painting all the little bits, last night it was 20 pieces to look like they are chrome... hopefully some progress over the weekend. |
