I'm putting this here, because I don't really think it belongs in the race car section.
Those that know me, know I love to build a total piece of crap model! This version of the Willys has opening doors and boot(trunk), so I should be able to have quite a bit of fun with it.
This is what I have so far, have started the chassis assembly and detailing. Will be various parts and rubbish in both the interior and boot.
I think placing the leaves is going to take longer than I expected!
And a quick mock up to give a little more inspiration!

It seems like they have been mate using some sort of small art n craft like punch. There is a few shade variations in the bag too. Wish I could remember where the hell I got them!

I've seen stamps for cutting leaves in scale somewhere, it wasn't that pricey either

Thanks all, I have been focusing mainly on the boot/trunk. I've got the bulk of the leaves in place and enough junk that I am happy with. Now to apply various weathering to all the parts. then a few more leaves and some dusting over! The axles are meant to be the ones out of the car, as I'm building it with the rear brakes exposed, but drums and axles removed. I've also been working on methods to replicate weathered Magnesium. Seems to be working so far, but needs more finishing yet: Thanks for looking guys, I haven't done a junk car for a couple years, I forgot how fun they are!

Well I finally had a chance to play around with models again for a bit. Got the paint work done on the body. Used the hairspray technique for the flaking paint. I think it worked out pretty well. The flaking is different on the boot (trunk) lid and front guards (fenders) as I have painted these to replicate fibreglass panels, which was common place back in the 60s. I think all up this body has had 7 different colours put over it for this result. Can't wait to weather the hell out of it! Thanks for looking.

Hey all, well, I finally got some model time in!(other stuff got in the way, like detailing a car for a show, and house stuff) I got all the steering linkages modified and fitted, now just need paint and weathering. I've started on the interior too, a but if junk in there, more to come. I've weathered the seat and rusted the chrome roll bar. Thanks for looking.
