Better late than never but I thought I might have a crack at this. I have no real plans for this so it'll probably end up along similar lines to the original Interceptor. This is the kit I'm going to use. Picked this kit up cheap when the local Aldi supermarket had them on sale. Doesn't seem too bad a kit upon opening the box, usual AMT affair. First step was to cut out the boot lid and sill under the rear window. I'll have to make some changes to the floor plan to fit in all the bits I want to put in the back . I'll see how we go!

I'm fairly certain that at some point during this build, my lack of a plan is going to bite me on the arse but until that time comes, I'll push on regardless. So, with the boot cut out, I chopped the floor pan ready to be converted to more of a usable space and cut the kit tank out. At this stage there is nothing pretty going on here, I'm just having fun with this one. With my mods, the rear of the car would probably collapse but hopefully it will look the part. Found a bigger tank to put in where the kit one sat.

Just a quick mock up to see where I'm heading. Still got a bit more stuff to add. Thinking another tank for water or air perhaps for a weapon, couple extra batteries and other junk. Changed out the kit seats but this one had no back in it so I used some chequer plate on the back to look like a bit of added protection, unless that big fuel tank goes up of course!! Wrapped it around the sides of the headrest to help look protective. Still unsure what will happen on the outside yet but I'm sure something will come up!

Nice setup! I was looking at doing something similar on my 97 Mustang Cobra for next month's MOTM but changed to this.

CooL !! Lots of detail going on here, and don't worry some of my favourite builds were constructed without a clue what I was doing ! Some kits just build themselves !
