Well theres literally nothing for me to do at work so I'm taking in a golf to build. I'll be using 17" teddy bear rims and paint from splash paints. There might be a little extra body mods but it will be staying as a curbside. I'll be using this kit and it will be slammed
and the end result will be something like this I really hate the shade of green vw used so since this colour layout has the least of it I'll go with it. It'll be my first time using my airbrush but I have enough paint to do 2 cars in each colour so if it goes wrong it wont be a problem.

Their not that bad m, lol. Besides what else would you put on a harlequin? The first of the body mods is done. I started by filling the sunroof area as when the paint goes on they always show up even if they aint opened up. I've also got rid of the upper body line from the rear bumper and am currently waitinf for the front to dry so i can get it finished off. I've deleted the indicators and fog lights from the bumper to clean up the lines but the lower light/vents will be staying. I'm considering using a vento/mk3 jetta grille on this if it fits. It will be from one of the scale production resin kit as I would like to do a golf grille on one of them. Since this is a multi coloured car I'll probably have green tinted rear lights as they would be in keeping with the rest and will add a touch of 90s brit look (colour coded lights were the thing to have then) Sunroof deleted Nice enough rear bumper but I can make it better much smoother now Too much going on for my tastes and deleting the lights was pretty popular in the late 90s brit vw scene some plastic strips cut to fit and a skim of filler and it should turn out much neater If i can get the front bumper completed tonight I'll take this home to prime in the morning. I wont be starting work until 1 am on sunday so hopefully I'll get the first colour done on sunday before I start.

First bit of primer done, gonna need to reputty a couple bits before the next round. I'm planning to just fill prime the areas with putty then use white primer for all of it since the yellow and green are quite light. I'll be filling the side indicators and smoothing the door trim next. I might also get rid of the plastic trim from the arches cos it wont fit the rest of the build. The door handles will be staying but the top of the dip will be filled for a subtle custom touch

Great work so far. I personally love the Benetton Harlequin cars and would love to own a 1:1.
