Ha!! Go figure - I was one of those 10 second bidders same as you Dennis! Congrats sir!!! Sorry Tom, I had to try to get it. I don't think I would have backed off this time if I had known you were bidding, sometimes I do, but I really wanted this engine and it is complete and in good shape.

Now you can go SICK on the details on that baby Dennis, it should almost look like you could start it i reckon mate. I will try to do a good job on this one Dale because it is so rare. Because it is an old kit there are some things that aren't modern like it has an all plastic one piece pulley and belt system that I will cut apart and use separate pulleys and a rubber belt. Little things like that.

I just got this in. I plan to build it for the March MOTM contest. I don't know how to scratch build and fabricate like others do so it will pretty much be like it is except for paint and detailing. Maybe it will help me learn how to lower one. egyptian

This is really cool looking Dennis, I am like you, probably need to build something like this so I can start to learn this whole "lowering" phase of things. But I am positive you will blast this sucker clean out of the solar system bud - look forward to it!!!!

Just got this in. My wife said her father drove one of these and wanted me to build her one and this is the only kit I know of for this car. I have been told these Galaxie kits were really good ones and it looks like it is. It only has a six cylinder engine but the drag version has three deuces on it and the carbs are really nice. Good size and nicely detailed so I will build a sleeper with the three carb drag engine. The whole kit looks to be very well made.

I've never heard of Galaxie kits before but that's one cool subject that you've got yourself. How old is that kit?

Got this today. I have several '40 and '41 Willys kits but not this one. Very common kit and I have heard so much about what a good kit it is I had to get one. Especially for $10.00.

Always has been and always will be and I like it. I can't help myself. I have more kits than I can possible build but when I see a kit and I think "I would like to build that" especially if I can turn it into something with a nice engine, If I can I get it. And that's the name of that tune.

I just got these in also. These are knuckle springs used in model railroading. I've seen these used for carburetor return springs and they look very real. The modelers using them wouldn't tell me what they were or where to get them. I had to find out for myself. Not the way to do things in this hobby in my opinion. There are twelve in that little capsule and they cost $1.65. I put them beside a carb from the Boss Mustang so you could see their size and the ones you are looking at are two or three springs together.
