Some progress, I'm sure you all guessed the stock motor wouldn't be hanging around for long. As it happens the stock chassis is not being used either, in face all I'm using is the body, glass and chrome parts, the rest is in the leftover pile. I'm using a dodge viper chassis stretched a bit to fit. I did thie by drawing out one side of the viper floor then stretching it to fit the fury. I then added the chassis rails to this as it was the easier option. The engine is the stock viper v10 at the moment but I am adding twin turbos tonight. Where they are located depends on whether i cut the body or not, I really should cut out the bay to help things fit better. At the moment the body hits the chassis with the rad support but its pretty plaing anyway so will probably get cut out. The wheels are 20" professors with double the dish out back as I had a spare set of the dishes left from a set of wheels I used the tyre from as the wheel face was damaged when they arrived. The seats are low back buckets from clearly scale but the rest of the interior is getting scratch built. I'll be using hobby design brakes so theres something behind the wheels. The body will be remaining completely stock but might get a small front lower spoiler. It will be a two seater now as there would be no space for legs in the back, lol
body is sitting on chassis here, its much much lower now
I havent trimmed the wheel backs yet. I had to narrow the independent axle first which is now done
axle to the right of pic
I really should cut out this ugly rad support, but its an old kit and everything else is mint

Does anyone have some decent pics of above the headlights, the front screen pillars and rear quarter panels for one of these. My kit has some areas that look a bit off from missing/poor trim and some heavy mold lines under the side windows that will need a lot of work to fix. The ridge on one side is nearly a mm step and some of the screen trim is either very faint or a mold line. Above the headlights looks like theres trim but again it could be a mold line and rather than just steam into it I'd like to keep the body completely stock. I should habe interior pics tomorrow or friday once theres a bit more to show.
Been a rough few days in the real world since thursday so not been feeling much like modelling. On my way to work on thursday night I bumped into some friends only to find out they had just left another friends funeral. Nobody had old me he was gone and its down to that xanax crap. Then on saturday another friend killed himself over a broken relationship. And on sunday yet another friend ended up in hospital and things dont look too good for them. The very idea of picking up a model just didn't appeal. I did pick it up again yesterday and pretty much scrapped all the interior work I'd already done so now its on its third interior with everything except the seats and clocks scratchbuilt or massively modded from something else. So far theres parts from a 48 lincoln, jag xj220, chrysler atlantique concept and an indy car going into the interior. I've also made new trim for the door cards but due to how the seats were made I cant do anything to retrim them. Once I get home I'm hoping to get more done cos I'm feeling like doing some work on it today
mustang1989: I've been trying to add photos to my thread and can't access a single one. Just contacted imageshack about the problem. Will see what they say.
