Thanks guys, finding bench time is tough going at the minute with the finish line looming up!I have the bonnet mounts on the chassis just need to line the other half up on the bonnet then sort the bullbar mounting plate and tilt mechanism, then to the paint shop. I'll build the engine between colours - hopefully, Ya still got a month mate

So just going over a few of the last bits before paint. There is bound to be something I've forgotten but I'll worry about that when I find it. The tank steps that come with the resin tanks aren't that flash so I made up a replacement set. These aren't perfect but are an improvement. Would be awesome in P.E. The cut out in the resin ones to clear the tank strap are offset and don't actually clear the strap so I put my cut out in the centre which is more like the 1:1 version. Now into the paint booth.

Thanks Dale, I just watch you guys and copy it as best I can. Plenty of progress today. Too wet for work so managed to get some paint on. Got all the big items primed, first coat of colour on the chassis and base colour on the cab. Bonnet needs another coat but pretty happy with it all so far.

Thanks Dale and Joe. Been using my few spare available minutes to keep this going forward. Have the engine together, It's Auslowe's turbo'd 903 Cummins. I still need to find a gearbox to mate to it and paint it all. It wasn't bad for a resin casting, little bit of clean up was needed but went together pretty well. Paint is on the cab and the first coat of clear is on ready for decalling. Going to use a wider dark blue and finer yellow pinstripes on this. I think the yellow might be hard to see due to bleed through of the backing colour but I have the name decals already done in yellow so we will see what happens.

Amazing! That chassis looks more like the real deal, rather than a model now. Well done Sir.

Thanks for following along guys, muchly appreciated. I have ticked off a few more boxes on this old girl. The interior is coming together. The dash is an Auslowe resin casting. I haven't glued this in yet until I mount the steering wheel under it. I made an old school gear stick where the splitters were strapped to the stick with hose clamps and a metal flecked knob. The seats are the kit ones just swapped side for side. Started to detail the chassis as well. Engine and gearbox are ready to go in. Has to use a different gearbox from the first 1 I picked, it was too long which made the drive shaft impossibly short on a steep angle. I've had to trim some of the top flange off the chassis to allow the headers to sit nicely. The turbos on this motor are rear mounted a but they fouled on the firewall so I pulled them of to meet the deadline but as it turns out i had enough time to fiddle! Bullbar is done but it does show a few marks up close. This might get revisited yet. The sunvisor is made from thin alloy sheet bent to shape. This is the second 1. Still not 100% happy but way better than the first one. Decals are on and cleared. In two minds as to polishing. I think the shine is probably right for this truck with the satin chassis finish. I'm hopeful of getting this pretty much done over the next weekend,

Great work mate, gear stick looks real cool, and all the extra detailing you are throwing in is awesome mate, i would block it a little with 2000 grit, and a light polish, it will hit the mark with out taking away anywhere else.
