Posting on behalf of Hurtz, decided to combine a transit van with a 7/eleven imsa mustang. the wheel base is the same as the
transit(more luck than measurement )the plan is to use everything out of the 7/eleven mustang and
the transit body . the sides were cut off the mustang body and the rear wings were shortened by 15 mm.
the transit lower body was removed below the swage line and the last 10 mm of the front wings were
left . the body will have 10mm less at(sectioned) the bottom. i plan to make a cage to suit. the rear
mustang floor pan has been shortened by 15 mm to fit the transit. there might be some other mods as
the build goes on, not sure if it`s going to be engine gear box prop shaft back axle or engine torque
tube trans axle. here is the van in mock up with the mustang floor and side panels |

Another update from Dal, been working on the transit body all panels are now glued on. the rear door has been shortened, as was the rear corners. the body has been filled awaiting sanding and rubbing down. bonnet has been cut out and maybe modified to look more race like/functional. here`s how the body looks now    |

thanks Les, planning on making gull wing style opening door`s. once the body is finish and sanded down I`ll put the body in primer. my mind is thinking white body with the 7 /eleven graphics . i wont finish the paint until I finish the underneath/interior of the car, which hasn`t been started yet

painted the mustang floor pan and mocked the engine in place .most of the engine is where the gear box tunnel should be, which in real life would make the van handle .i`ve just started the cage in 2mm plastic rod. this will eventually go to the back where the trans axle is and to the front to tie the cage into the floor pan. here`s how the model is progressing |
