Thanks Deano! I have started Bare Metal Foiling the Aston this morning. At this point, I'm about halfway through foiling this small car. I still have to foil the front and rear windshield frames and the B pillars.    More to come... |

Thanks leon! I finished foiling before lunch and later this afternoon I started to add the windows and the windows are ruining the foil. The Aston is atarting to fight me. The rear window and the side windows are one piece and didn't want to fit, so I cut the side windows away from the rear. Once this done, I'll have to touchup, repair, and try to rejuvenate the Aston.

Man.....you went for broke on the silver. Whadda hard color to make look good as that color tends to show any blemish underneath it up very well. Looks as though you have done a great job in your paint prep work. Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

My prep work may have gone in the toilet! I'm trying to install the glass and it is making a mess of the foil trim. So far, I've cut the rear glass assembly with the rear quarter windows apart since it doesn't fit at all. I hate when a project starts to fight me!

As a line of storms thundered through the area, I sat at my work bench and started working on the DB4 for a little bit. I added the headlight bezels and the taillights.   Since installing the rear window ruined the Bare Metal Foil on the trim, I figured that the best way around all that was to mask off the trim and paint it on with my Molotow Liquid Chrome pen. I'll leave this for a day or two to dry.  More to come... |
