Thanks steve and stitchdup! I'm also trying to correct some of the issues I have seen other builders do on this kit. One being the painting of the pistol grip shifter. I have seen too many grips painted completely from top to bottom and installed backwards on E-body cars.

Now this is the way a Hurst Pistol-Grip Shifter is suppose to be painted! You always leave a chrome strip up the back of the shift handle and a chrome top. I've detailed the steering wheel. I should have put a dot of flat black in the spokes which I did after I noticed my flub up. And, the rear taillights are done! More to come...

Looking good Mike. Say...... if I may, that steering wheel would really benefit from drilling the holes out in the spokes. Just a friendly suggestion bud. This is looking good.

Joe, I would have drilled holes in the spokes, but on the '70 Charger what you see is actually part of the horn ring. The spokes holding the wheel are part of the steering wheel itself.

Thanks leon! Been working on the Hemi. I need to find a Hemi wiring diagram and I can finish wiring the engine. I'm not 100% happy with the plumbing of the carbs and I may remove the forward pipe and rearch it. A quick mockup to see how the Charger is progressing. More to come...

Looks great Mike. The shifter is exactly as I remember them.
I think you made the right decision on the distributor.
Coming along nicely.

I've been working on the '70 Charger R/T. I got the body foiled with the toughest part being the rear window. I finished wiring the Hemi. Now to work on the air cleaner. More to come...

The foil looks great. I have yet to try that process. I am guessing it is a challenge.
The engine looks great too. Lots of realism.
Carry on sir...

Thank you Mark! Bare Metal Foil can be challenging to use and install, but the more you use it, the easier it gets. Go to the Bare Metal Foil web site and follow their install plans and as you go along, develop as system that works for you.

Your engine bays are looking better and better Mike. Those plug wires have a good "lay" to them. Looking forward to more.

The foil looks great. I have yet to try that process. I am guessing it is a challenge. It aint that bad Mike. It does take some patience and a brand new X-Acto knife blade to get the cuts nice n' true but it's entirely doable. Go for it!

Thanks stitchdup and Mark! A dehydrator is definitely worth the money. It shortens drying time especially with enamel paints. Just be sure to get one that you can adjust the temperature with and has a timer on it.

Hmmm, Testors wet look clear....... Duly noted. This is the ONLY clear that I use and it is in fact some really good stuff. You've gotta be careful on what you use it on though as it's lacquer based. Enamel over Lacquer=OK . Lacquer over enamel=BAD!!
