Well guys, my first crack at MOTM. Geez, what a push for me!
The look I was going for was something a young guy who is into surfing and cars might drive.
Kit is Revell's '49 Mercury wagon. I had the spare wheel all ready to go on the back, but with it sitting on there the car looked a little "dorky", so left it off. Shaved the emblems off the hood.
I used the suspension and lake pipes from the '49 Mercury custom. Pegasus Chrome steelies and pinner whites.
Paint is Tamiya Coral Blue and Tamiya Sand. Kit decals.
Added Flocking and a Mooneyes steering wheel to the interior.
Engine got ignition, fuel and oil lines. Really very happy with this build. I highly recommend this kit, it builds a beautiful model. Anyways, have a look, let me know what you think, be it good or bad, cheers guys.
And just a few more, I really dig this build!

Thanks for the comments all, appreciate it. Yes, you're right Dale, I was sweating the time frame for a while, but hell it was good spending that much time on the bench in a month!!

I think you caught exactly the look you were going for. I have a couple of cans of that color and it looks good for 40-50s build. Great job on this one.
