lil red express truck update 11-01-2018

hi this one has gone through a few changes since I started it. Originally I had the racers wedge on the back of it, then was modifying it to turn it into a pro stock truck then saw a few pics of a 1:1 dodge truck and decided this was the way to go. Tried to modify the original chassis but just couldnt get it low enough to the ground so ended looking through the parts box and found with a few mods the amt 39 wagonrod fitted and looked the part of a modern build. Will be using all of the wagonrod's suspension and also the rims and tyres from the kit. Now being so low had to remove the centre section of the tray and made up a new floor and tubs for it along with the wagonrod's fuel tank.Added a little custom touch using the wagonrod's exhaust tips and using them as tailights in the rear guards, will paint the centres clear orange and the out ring clear red. With everything being moved up in the body the interior bucket no longer fitted so I had to remove approx 4 mm from the base of the bucket to get it to fit and align up. Found a billet steering column but otherwise the rest will be basically stock. Removed all the inner guards and am installing a 426 hemi with a single four barrel with a machined air filter instead of the small block that was supplied with the kit. Only problem was everything was now sitting higher I couldnt shut the bonnet so scratch built a cowl hood scoop for it and while I was scratch building made a panel for between the grill and the radiator support panel for a cleaner look.
