Hey dudes, well straight into the next one. Ya see, I LOVE "trend" cars, you know the ones, 60s trends, 70s trends, 80s trends, etc. They follow the recipe for a certain period in time. Well here is my "trend" build. It's a Revell 41 Willys pro street rod. Total 90s style!! It'll have LOTS of colour coding, Satin finish chrome (wheels and blower only), nose down stance, etc. Here is where I'm at so far: Lots of red. Anything that is highlighted in black will be shaved or filled to give that truly smooth 90s style.

Looking forward to more of this, loved that smoothed, billet-look period of cars, but some of the graphic schemes were plain embarrassing ! !

Ya know............I'm going to have to pick this kit up right here. I've got the old Street Demons version and want to do this with that kit theme in mind. Very nice start on this cool a$$ kit.

Looking forward to more of this, loved that smoothed, billet-look period of cars, but some of the graphic schemes were plain embarrassing ! ! Me too, was such a great period in modified cars (even though most have aged quite badly). I'm still trying to find some cheesy graphics for the sides.

I wouldn't say they've aged badly, more they've gone out of style for now but they'll be back soon enough. I still like them anyway, but I was a kid then and they were all new to me. Think I'm going to enjoy following this

That's a much better way of putting it Stitch, I too was a kid when these trends were big.

So the secret to the "Satin machined" finish?? (which I thought everyone would know?) Get yourselves a can of Tamiya Flat Clear! It works every time.

Well, it's slow going on this one. Interior is finished. Body is painted, chassis is nearly finished. My junkyard diorama has kind of distracted me from this a little. Enjoy.

That interior looks great Bruce, i really like the satin..ish paint on the seats etc, it gives that "wrapped in leather" look.

Well the work continues on this. I have exterior paint finished! Possibly the best "Off the rattle pack" finish I have ever achieved. Very happy with this result. Just look at those reflections in the lower door!
