There is one thing I don't like about the kit. Just one. The scale. I wish it was 1/24-25 to go with other show rods. icon_hmm_zps07rcoppf

Super clean paint so far, yes its a surprise being 1/20! Think I'd stick that engine in a 1/25 for a laugh !!

Thanks guys! Got the wood grain done on the body today. here's some pics of how I did it and the paints that I used. First I started by airbrushing the body with Vallejo model air wood. Then I brushed on some black wash around the windows and the trim around the roof,then I dry brushed on some darker brown colors and then blended the colors in with a wet Q tip. This is what it looks like now,I still need to clear coat it , I hope this helps you guys with wood graining a model.more to come ,thanks for looking!

I was thinking that as well. White packing peanuts kind of pulled apart with some fine tip tweezers. The tint with airbrush...could be fun.

Gee whiz this looks great. Some very convincing finishes on the Wood, brass head lamps and that Candy stripe roof is awesome.
