Very drool worthy.. drooling%20smiley_zpsbamzenvx Thanks Dale the old super glue does the trick, dries quick, easy to sand and the main bonus is it doesn't shrink as I have used other putties in the past, only for them to ruin a good paint job due shrinkage

Thanks Stitch and poet for the comments. Wanted to get more done this weekend but due to the weather was stuck out in the garden but was able to get a little bit in. Have extended the chassis rails to fit the superbee chassis and got some satin black on it, now just needs some fine detailing. Also was able to finish filling in the floor pan and trans tunnel and hopefully will get it in paint tomorrow. Tonight with luck will start on the motor as all the chrome has gone trough the oven cleaner to remove it. Cheers and thanks for looking

Thanks Dale , Joe and Jason for the comments. Been a little bit slow the past week being busy with work and life, had sprayed the hood in magma red duplicolor earlier in the week but the paint came out awful so it went in the oven cleaner but got a few light coats on the hood today and hopefully will be getting a lot more done this weekend. Had to change the color choice as the local hobby shop was out of the go green/ sublime I originally intended so it was in the paint bin to see what I had and this color kept staring at me so I went with it. Paint is model master panther pink and was quite surprised how well it went down as I have used the boyds pearl yellow before and took forever to dry and was really transparent. Will have to see how duplicolor clear goes with it hopefully I dont get any reactions with it. Will be using the white c stripes with it and will have to use another bit of white decal to fill in the turn signal as they have now been removed. Cheers and thanks for looking Steve

NEVER ignore the paint mate, colors have a way of sending sublime... i mean subliminal messages to us, they have a way of getting your attention for that right color on the right car, and in this case, they were CORRECT , that color is PERFECT !!!!

Cheers Dale wanted that original look but also wanted that attention seeking look which I think the panther pink has. Have ordered the sublime green which will be going on another pro street superbee I have tucked away.

Unfortunately this build hasnt gone to plans. Had decal issues where the c stripes, self destructed on me when they were dry believe it or not and then damaged the paint trying to remove the decals. Have fixed the paint but will have to source some decals from somewhere. Will post it up in the shop to keep the build going but for now going to try my luck in the anniversary build off with an amt 1958 edsel pacer.

That's a bugger mate, "decals", i hate them with a passion, they have caused me more grief over the years than paint ever has...
At least you have salvaged it, and are going to finish her..

Thanks Dennis and thanks Dale but all is not lost as the paint is now fixed and have came across an older set of c stripes that I will use the only downfall are they are black and not white as I originally planed. Will start back on it when the edsel is finished
