I read a whole tutorial on using foam sheets for interior work. They used a pizza cutter for putting the patterns into the foam! Door panels can be done pretty easy this way, but getting it to stay put on seats is another matter.
Sorry for the Hi-Jack Stitch!!
I used worbla sheets on my lexus interior. warm the sheets in boiling water and press your pattern into it, then cut to size and glue in place
Managed to spend some time on this at long last (nothing else to do just now). The interior is pretty much finished, and I found the matching front seat from the studebaker. I was going to add some t'n'r to the bottoms of the door cards but turns out I dont have enough 1/2 mm half round left. I also trimmed the bed cover from the el camino so I could have t'n'r on the parcel shelf
Now my the rest of my pics are loaded, on with the update. I seem to have forgotten to take pics of the engine though. When I was looking through the loose parts in the box I found some wierd little half moon shape pieces. Later as I was about to cut the lights out of a 55 chevy body, I realised they were 55 chevy light surrounds so that saved a kit from the scrap pile.
Then I cleaned up the back where I removed the light surrounds
Then it was on to the roof. I am using the victoria top option, but on looking at it there was something lacking from it. It just didn't look right to me without the trim so I used some 1/4 mm square plastic strips to add some. It seems to work with the body trim (which is staying)
And this is how the body sits just now (apart from filler). I'll have to reshape the front splash pan to fit my bumpers and finish off the filler but it's moving on finally
