Added a few pics of the new rear floor pan and as you can see had to put quite a bit of extra styrene as it was way to small for the road runner. Started to add some half round styrene for strengthening ribs but still a way to go yet before I get everything in primer.

I think that looks right at home. Not too much empty space and not too tight.

Thanks Joel,Dennis and warmachine for the comments. Unfortunately warmachine not made of money so it's either scratch building or use basic kit parts as the price of aftermarket parts is just way too much for me especially when your looking at between $50 - $60 for a kit here in australia.

Thanks Dale and yeah it does hurt worked out once how much it would cost with all aftermarket detail parts about two years ago for one of my builds and it was going to cost about $250 to build and that's what really got me into scratch building. On the plus side I found I enjoyed building more with scratch building and all my builds being that little bit different from anyone else.

Man you aint kiddin' there Steve. That's one lesson I learned quick when I put my 56 Ford F-100 "moneypit" together. I was very happy with the outcome of it but you don't wanna know what the final tally was on the money out for that one. lol
Nice engine work. Good looking ignition set up. Those wire separators really do the trick don't they? Adds a real nice touch to an engine compartment.

Thanks Joe the separators where a real pain as they are so small but well worth it and the F-100 that you built was an awesome build that I still check out for ideas.

While waiting for some evergreen coming in for the gtx pulled this one out in the hope of getting it finished by the end of the year. Decided to pull out the 440 and replace it with a hemi as I have another kit that I will be building stock with a 440. Going to go with a cross ram manifold and first used the big carbs but they looked way too big for the set up so going to use the smaller carbs with the air filters. Swapped out the rims for another set from the parts box and now sitting a little lower modifying the rear a bit more and swapping out the front tyres for a set of slightly lower profile ones. Currently removing the flat bars from the wheelie bars, which look out of place and replacing them with round styrene. Also have done the majority of the bmf and still deciding whether I will do the wheel arch moldings in bmf or keep them painted. Cheers and thanks for looking.

That engine is going to look awesome mate, i would BMF the wheel arch trim, but having said that, it is a pain in the A" to do, stance looks great now too.

Thanks Bruce and Dale for your comments. Did do a rear wheel molding Dale but standing back looking at it, the rear quarter panel seemed to loose it's fatness with the chrome
