Started on the engine shop upstairs today, and also busted out a Willys kit. Have started on the HEMI from it, and the chassis, this will be the focal point in the garage side of things, and the body will be in the paint shop.
Whatcha do to your thumb buddy? Looks like a slip of the hammer!!!
WELL..... i leaned on one of my Valiants to pick something up that was beside it, i rested my hand on the edge of the bonnet ( hood) , but it was popped, and as it went into the lock position, my thumb was sort of under the lip, and got squished between the bonnet and guard. And the neighbors learnt quite a few more words i can tell you, and OUCH wasn't one of them.... that was over a month ago too..
Thanks too men, i'm still working on where to put what with this Willys, but i reckon it will be an 'in progress" build.
stitchdup: The paint booth is fired up and the masking tape is out, its time to get the blue on the porsche so I can hopefully get it decaled tonight

aussiemodler: Im hearing ya mate. I've had this plane build on my bench for my dad for over 12 months and I've done more in the last 3 days then in those 12 months. I think motivation helps also.

stitchdup: I think most of my motivation has been boredom at work, knocking out a couple of curbsides fills in some time cos there really is no work for me to do other than be on the boat all night. If anything happens I phone someone to come and sort it cos I'm not

stitchdup: qualified to do any of it, and most of it needs 2 or more people anyway. All I know how to do is pull the line tight on the winch and even that I can only do in emergencies

aussiemodler: I HATE painting in these Queensland summers, its 1830 32c (90F) and 75% humidity, everything dries to quick.

stitchdup: I dont think i've ever been in that much heat, 24 is hot here, lol

DeeCee: When it's hot, i slap it on very wet, the heat acts as an oven, usually end up with a DEEP gloss.
