Thanks, so far the hardest part was splitting both motors from the transmissions. I have had to do a good bit of scratch work on the pullies as well but not to bad. It would have been a lot easier on a more modern ride with a bigger engine bay. These little 37s are cramped.
I found that out on the Willys build that I just got through with. That hemi baaaaaaaaaaaaarley fit in there.
Yesterday's gone and Tomorrow aint here yet. Today IS the best day we'll ever have.
Engine looking sweet on the chassis and know what you mean by tight fit, have a supercharged fuel injected 426 hemi that I managed to squeeze in a 37 ford sedan and had to modify the firewall to get it to fit into the bay and under the hood
Thanks Sharp, Leon and Retro. As usual will finish tonight at the last minute on the last day. The Suspension bits on this thing were awful, compounded using the corvette wheels and adding brakes..and I popped my A pillar in half where I chopped my top playing with my windshield, so I had to fix that last night and re-orange the top and re-clear. Hopefully it will be kind and polish out just fine tonight..lol. Here is the underside. First time making pipes from aluminum tube. That was actually fun.
stitchdup: The paint booth is fired up and the masking tape is out, its time to get the blue on the porsche so I can hopefully get it decaled tonight

aussiemodler: Im hearing ya mate. I've had this plane build on my bench for my dad for over 12 months and I've done more in the last 3 days then in those 12 months. I think motivation helps also.

stitchdup: I think most of my motivation has been boredom at work, knocking out a couple of curbsides fills in some time cos there really is no work for me to do other than be on the boat all night. If anything happens I phone someone to come and sort it cos I'm not

stitchdup: qualified to do any of it, and most of it needs 2 or more people anyway. All I know how to do is pull the line tight on the winch and even that I can only do in emergencies

aussiemodler: I HATE painting in these Queensland summers, its 1830 32c (90F) and 75% humidity, everything dries to quick.

stitchdup: I dont think i've ever been in that much heat, 24 is hot here, lol
Jan 29, 2020 3:44:27 GMT -7
DeeCee: When it's hot, i slap it on very wet, the heat acts as an oven, usually end up with a DEEP gloss.
